Order state settings

Common

The order state texts definied here, can be set at the display. Up to 6 state messages can be defined. An additional action can also be appended to a state text. This options are:

ActionDescription
no actionNo order state change when setting this state. This may be helpful e.g. to communicate a pausing order.
set order as activeSet the order as active order. If a navigation target is set and the display supports it, the navigation can be started, too.
delete order from displayDeletes the order from the display and set as closed at the portal.

Create / Edit

On create a new order state or edit an existing one, the according menu first shows the list of currently defined states.

Below this list is a text input, define the state text with up to 20 chars. Optional an action can be appended, using the select box below.

Broadcasting

After the state messages defined at the portal, they have to be transmitted to the according displays. At the according mask, single objects, group or all objects in list. Only objects, supporting the user defined message states listed here and the current user must have edit rights.

Orders / forms

Common

For supported displays you can (de)activate the function to create orders directly at the display here. Furthermore a default custom form can be set, which will be appended to each order, created on the display. Therefore the custom form must be available at the display!

Assignment

The first limitation of general visible objects is done by their support of order creation. If a form to append selected, only the checkboxes for displays, supporting this form, stay clickable. For other objects the checkbox will be disabled.

Order text layout

Common

This setting is only available if only garmin displays with proprietary FMI interface used. So the structure of the visible order text can be adjustet to use the available text length as best as possible. Therefore the text elements can be moved from and to the order text elements area and sorted in the desired direction there. To get a feeling for the resulting messages, right below is an example text area.

Elements

The following elements are available:

NameDescription
dateIf an arrival time was planned, showing the date part.
time

If an arrival time was planned, showing the time part. If date and time are assigned in this order, they will be connected to a datetime element

order textthe order text itself. This text must be part of the submitted order text.
order numberThe self defined order number per order
sort numberOptional a sort number can be added to an order to help the driver, executing the orders in the correct way.
contact informationsIf a created order was assigned to a customer from address book and for this customer at least one contact person was assigned, this according contact informations (name, phone number) will be added to the text.
navigation targetThe navigation target always will be submitted internally but this way the driver can not see this target. So this will enable the option, that the driver can see the navigation target address as shown on order creation.
Keep in mind, that the Garmin display supports only 200 chars overall. This means, depending on active elements the useable order text length may differ significantly!
