The box calculates the mileage via GPS. From time to time it is necesary, to match the mileage of the vehicle with the tacho.

 Set odometer value

To set the mileage new, enter the current mileage of the vehicle and click "send". The new mileage is then sent to the box. The values since the last odometer-approximation are percentage adjusted to the change.

History

Under history, you find a list of odometer-approximations from the past.

Correction factor for distance calculation

The C-Box and A-Box offer the opportunity to use a box-internal correction factor.

The odometer value of the vehicle differs on principle to the odometer value of the box. Deviations of up to 15% compared to the vehicle tachographs are absolutely not uncommon and may be considered for technical reasons. To create a logbook, it is important that the mileage of the box is close as possible to the mileage of the vehicle. Therefore, it is possible to specify a correction factor in selected YellowFox boxes.

What is the correction factor?

Consider:

Odometer value vehicle : 1000 Km

Odometer value box: 950 km

The difference amounts to 50 km. The correction factor is 1.05.

The formula to calculate thiis: "distance traveled according to vehicle" / "distance traveled according to box" = correction factor
