Menu to set message and answer templates at vehicle display.

Introduction

For all displays message templates can be defined. Defining such a template text will help the drivers to send common messages as easy as possible and not recreating them again and again.

For Garmin displays additional answer templates can be set. When sending a message to such a display it is possible to directly define some answer texts, where the driver can select one.

Administration

It is possible to create up to 8 templates for each message type. The order at the display in the vehicle is the same as shown in the portal. This order can be changed by using the arrow icons (,).

An already created template either can be modified by clicking the edit symbol () or deleted, using the red x ().

Create / Edit a template

A new template can be created by selecting add new message draft or add new response draft. Alternatively an existing template can be modified after klick the edit icon. On top of the input menu is the current list of templates. Below this list is the text row. The text length here is up to 50 chars.

After a draft was added or modified it will be shown in the list but is still only visible in the portal. So it is necessary to submit the current configuration to the according displays. To do this, click send drafts to one or multiple objects. Here all displays or vehicles with displays are listed, where the current user has edit rights. Recipients can be single objects, groups or all.

After confirming the send of draft configuration, it may take some minutes until the configuration is visible everywhere.
